This is a sponsored post on Alpha Foods latest product, the Alpha Vegan Burrito. I received Alpha Burrito samples for free, was compensated to review, and partnered with Moms Meet to write this post. All opinions are my own.
Ok guys, as you know, we try to steer clear of ‘convenience foods’ in our house. I prefer to meal plan for the week and do a lot of big batch cooking to make sure the freezer is always full. But sometimes…life gets busy, and my 3-year-old gets even more rambunctious and I JUST CAN’T EVEN anymore! So I will cheat a little bit, sometimes a lot…what can I say, i’m human! When I do cave and buy pre-made food I still try to look for cleaner foods, and I almost always go for something vegetarian, so the Alpha Vegan Burrito come in very handy as they tick both boxes.
What’s in This Vegan Burrito? Or NOT in Them?
- High in plant protein (11g per burrito)
- Cholesterol free
- No hormones
- No corn syrup
- No artificial preservatives
- No animal products
- Really low in sugar (which is usually one of the hardest things to find in a frozen meal)
And they taste good, which is the most important thing, right? There are 4 flavors; Mexicali, Fajita Chick’n, Philly Sandwich, and Pizza. I tried them all because I don’t want to recommend something that tastes blah, and honestly I enjoyed them. The Mexicali was definitely a fav for me, and the hubby loved the philly sandwich (“even though it’s vegan” his words, not mine).
Pro Tip: I try not to use a microwave so I baked these on a cookie sheet for about 10 minutes, and they came out just perfect.
