White Matcha Hot Chocolate

When the cold weather hits cozy up with a deliciously creamy and decadent white matcha hot chocolate. Quick and easy to put together, but super decadent. Perfect for a green Halloween treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of choice I use almond
  • ¼ cup white chocolate chopped
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • marshmallows for serving optional

Instructions

  • Heat milk and white chocolate on low-medium heat in a small pot on the stove
    1 cup milk of choice, ¼ cup white chocolate
  • Whisk and heat until chocolate has melted
  • Add matcha and whisk until incorporated
    1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • Remove from heat and add marshmallows to garnish
    marshmallows for serving

Notes

  • Store: leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3 days.
  • Freeze: this can also be frozen. Allow cooling completely before storing in a freezer-friendly container for up to 3 months.
  • Substitutions: you can use regular milk chocolate or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate.
  • Plant-based/dairy free: this can easily be made plant-based or dairy free by using appropriate ingredients.
