  • 4 large gala apples cut into slices
  • 1 1/2 cups Cranberry Relish
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup cold coconut oil
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Mix the apple slices with the cranberry relish and apple sauce and pour into an 8-inch baking pan
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, nuts, coconut sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the cold cubed coconut oil to the mixture
  4. Work the coconut oil into the dry ingredients with your hands until the mixture is crumbly. Don’t overwork it, clumps make it more yummy
  5. Pour the topping on top of the apple mixture and spread evenly
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. The topping should be golden brown
  7. Serve hot or enjoy cold the next day, it is yummy either way
