Yogurt Berry Parfait

Layers of yogurt, fruit, granola, and honey make this recipe the perfect layered dessert, snack, or breakfast. So easy that even the kids can put it together and a great first recipe for anyone just starting out in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Plain or Greek yogurt of choice sub coconut yogurt for vegans
  • 2 cups Fresh or thawed berries washed and chopped (I used strawberries and blueberries)
  • ¼ cup Finely chopped nuts such as walnuts
  • ¼ cup Crushed graham crackers optional
  • 4 tablespoons Honey maple syrup or fruit preserves (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by adding a layer of yogurt to the bottom of the glasses.
  • Next, add a layer of sliced strawberries and blueberries, followed by a sprinkle of granola and a drizzle of honey.
  • Repeat layers until you reach the top of the glass or bowl.

Notes

Substitutions
This is a very versatile recipe so feel free to change things up.
  • yogurt - plain or flavored Greek yogurt, or any non-dairy yogurt of choice can be added.
  • fruit - feel free to change the berries for whatever fruit is in season. Sliced apples, chopped oranges, peaches, nectarines, plums etc all work well.
  • other toppings can include: chopped nuts, coconut flakes, cookie butter, nut butter, crushed cookies, chia seeds etc
Meal Prepping
These make a great meal prep item for breakfast.
Simply make them up in little mason jars, or another type of container with a lid.
They should last about 3 days before the granola goes too soggy.
