Blueberry Almond Milk Smoothie

There's simply nothing better than starting the day with a good smoothie, and this Banana Blueberry Pancake Protein Smoothie is a great smoothie! Loaded with antioxidants, a nice hit of natural sugars to get you powered up with some energy first thing, and filling enough to keep you going until lunch. This smoothie almost feels like you are drinking an icecream laden super-indulgent milkshake.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk see notes
  • ½ cup rolled oats plus more for serving
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder see notes for alternatives
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 6-8 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Top with some more blueberries and a sprinkle of oats. Enjoy.

Almond Milk
Check the ingredients of the almond milk for extra sugars etc.
If you like a less thick and creamy smoothie then add up to one more cup of almond milk.
