Homemade Strawberry Syrup

Homemade Strawberry Syrup is as easy as roasting up some delicious fresh strawberries and blending them until smooth, and it tastes heavenly!   This crazy delicious Homemade Strawberry Syrup makes ice cream, milkshakes, pancakes, waffles, crepes (you get the picture) taste gourmet with little effort and no nasty ingredients!  Serve some up to your guests today.

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, washed and hulled

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250F (125C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Spread washed and hulled strawberries on the baking sheet in a single layer
  • Pop in the preheated oven and roast for about 50 mins until they are soft, dark and releasing an amazing strawberry aroma
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely
  • Pop the cooled strawberries into a high speed blender and blend until completely smooth. Transfer to a glass jar and keep in the fridge until ready to use. See notes for how much to add to a strawberry milkshake.

Notes

For a strawberry milkshake add about 3 tablespoon of the strawberry syrup to 1 cup of your milk of choice. Shake well and serve.
