Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb (450g) brussels sprouts
  • cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Trim the tough stem end of the brussels sprots, removing any brown spots or yellowing on the leaves. Chop Brussels sprouts in halves, longwise, so that the leaves don’t fall apart. Place them into a large bowl.
    1.5 lb (450g) brussels sprouts
  • Add salt, pepper, melted butter, and minced garlic to the bowl. Coat to toss ensuring the sprouts are evenly covered.
2 tablespoons butter, 2 garlic cloves, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Next, add the grated parmesan cheese and stir well to coat.
    ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 375F (190C)
  • Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer and cook for about 6 minutes or until nicely golden. If you like them crispier, then shake the basket after 6 minutes and cook for an extra minute or two. Overcrowding can lead to uneven cooking and less crispy results, so you may need to cook them in multiple batches if your air fryer is small.
  • Serve warm with extra parmesan on top.

Notes

Cooking Tips
Check the Brussels sprouts during the cooking process. Depending on how big they are and the power of your air fryer, they may cook faster or slower.
After checking on them you may need to adjust the cooking time accordingly to achieve your desired level of crispiness.
Seasonings
Feel free to experiment with different seasonings and spices. Things like paprika, chili powder, and everything but the bagel seasoning, furikake, or lemon zest add flavor to the sprouts, so feel free to change things to suit whatever you plan on serving them with.
Storing Leftovers
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge. However please note that they will lose their crispiness after being stored in the fridge.
