    Raspberry Apple Cider Vinegar Mocktail

    You are going to love this fun and fruity apple cider vinegar drink recipe.

    The perfect way to start the day, it is gentle on the stomach, whilst also being zesty and invigorating.

    Even better is that you don't have to pull out the blender or the food processor.

    Everything is simply mixed in a tall glass and then you can sip, sip, enjoy.

    With only a handful of simple ingredients, how can you say no?

    A Note On Ingredients For This ACV Drink

    You will need:

    • Raspberries: fresh, ripe, in-season raspberries are preferred. However, these can be replaced with frozen raspberries that have been thawed, or raspberry preserves or jam depending on what you have on hand;
    • Organic apple cider vinegar: look for apple cider vinegar that also contains the mother. I tend to stick with Bragg's brand, but if you have another good option in your area then go with that;
    • Lime juice: you know I always say fresh is best, however, if you want to replace this with bottled lime juice, then you go on ahead;
    • Sea salt: I always go with the flaky variety, but use what you have. This is optional, but I really feel like it gives this drink that extra boost of flavor;
    • Soda water: you want this to be unsweetened and unflavored, but nice and cold. A nice cold soda water will prevent the ice from melting too fast and is much more fun to drink.
    • Ice: I like to use crushed ice, but use whatever ice you have on hand.

    Optional ingredients for making your drink look a little fancier include slices of fresh lime, some extra fresh raspberries, and some sprigs of fresh mint.

    These are completely unnecessary and are completely for aesthetic purposes only, so you decide if you want to go to that extra effort or not!

    I also love adding a shot of ginger juice when I feel like adding more of a kick.

    Like your drinks sweeter? You can always add some raw honey, maple syrup, or liquid stevia to sweeten things up.

    How To Make This Apple Cider Vinegar Drink

    This drink is so easy to make.

    I usually make mine up first thing in the morning, as I find it is a great way to wake my tummy up.

    However, as it is quite settling, it can be a great drink to enjoy as the evening winds down, to replace your traditional nightcap.

    Start by smashing the washed raspberries in the bottom of a large glass. I use a fork to press the raspberries into the side of the glass until they are roughly crushed.

    If raspberries are not fresh, you could replace the fresh raspberries with frozen berries that have been thawed, or a spoonful of raspberry preserves or jam.

    Once the raspberries are crushed, add the apple cider vinegar, freshly squeezed lime juice, and a pinch of salt.

    Mix everything together until it is well combined.

    Then fill the glass about 50% of the way full with ice. I prefer crushed ice but use whatever style of ice you have on hand.

    From there, pour the chilled soda water over the ice, stir, add your optional extras and you are good to go.

    Tip: optional extras are fresh lime slices, extra fresh raspberries, and/or mint.

    Sip away!

    A spoon adding some mashed raspberries to a tall glass
    Add the mashed raspberries.
    A lime being squeezed into a glass contained mashed raspberries
    Squeeze in the fresh lime.
    A small bottle of apple cider vinegar being poured into a glass
    Add the apple cider vinegar and a sprinkle of salt.
    Ice and sparkling water being added to a cocktail
    Add the ice and sparkling water.

    Serving Suggestions

    I like to serve this drink in a nice tall glass with some fresh lime slices and fresh raspberries on top, along with a sprig or two of fresh mint.

    This works perfectly as a slightly bougie way to start the day, or a nightcap after dinner if you feel like a little something but don't want to go the whole hog with an actual margarita.

    If you need some extra hydration in your life it also works at any time of the day, so sip away when you feel it works best for you.

    A metal spoon stirring together the ingredients of a mocktail served in a tall glass
    Giver everything a good stir and your apple cider vinegar mocktail is good to go.

    Need More Recipes To Drink More Water

    I get it, getting that 2 liters of water into your day can sometimes feel like a bit of a slog.

    I like to get some extra hydration with these deliciously flavored waters throughout the day (bonus: you can munch on the fruit for a quick snack after you are all done drinking)

    • blueberry orange-infused water
    • infused minty orange water
    • frozen pineapple agua fresca

    I hope you enjoy this delicious drink as much as I do.

    Sparkling raspberry and lime apple cider vinegar mocktail recipe

    Sparkling Raspberry Lime Apple Cider Vinegar Drink

    Reminiscent of Kombucha in flavor, this drink is tart and slightly sweet. The lime and raspberry are a classic flavor, sour, tart, fruity, and sweet. Just perfect when accented with the naturally sour and sweet flavor of apple cider vinegar. The soda water helps to calm the strong flavors and the carbonation carries the flavors beautifully.

    Notes

    Serve: Super easy drink to make. Best served super cold over ice. I recommend that your soda water be chilled prior to using it. That way it won’t melt the ice so quickly.
    Apple cider vinegar: If you are new or sensitive to ACV, I recommend starting with ½ tablespoon of the vinegar to start with until you get used to it. You can always add more!
    Jam/preserves: You can use any flavor of jam or preserves for this recipe, strawberry would be fantastic too!
    Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter drink, try adding additional preserves, some honey, or try replacing the soda water with your favorite lemon-lime soda or ginger ale.
    Drink: this is an acidic drink (just like lemonade is acidic). It is often recommended by dental professionals to drink acidic beverages through straws as a way to help protect your teeth. You can also simply have a quick drink of water to rinse your mouth afterwards if preferred.

        It can have quite the flavour all by itself, I find this recipe takes the edge off just enough 🙂 And the pretty colour definitely helps!
