Frozen peaches and coconut cream combine to make the perfect summer treat: Homemade Peach Ice Cream. This special warm-weather treat is not only refined sugar-free and egg-free, it also doesn't require an ice cream maker and can be made with just a blender.

Homemade Peach Ice Cream Is A Great Way To Use Up Excess Peaches

Our peach tree has ripened. The WHOLE bloody thing at once!

I am picking approximately 20 peaches from the tree every day, and fighting a small war with the local squirrels to get there first.

    They are determined little buggers.

Anyway, this is a good problem to have.

Fresh homegrown peaches are absolutely amazing, and I am determined not to let them go to waste.

I have therefore been forced to attempt my long-held fear desire to learn how to can fruit.

The geek in me is terribly excited.

    Ridiculously excited 🙂

How To Make Homemade Peach Ice Cream

In the meantime, I have made like 6 batches of frozen peaches, and this fantastically simple Vegan Peach Ice Cream has resulted.

    It is:

    • dairy-free
    • egg free
    • refined sugar-free
    • vegan
    • no churn
    • delicious

You can use some homemade frozen peaches, or you can buy the big bags of pre-frozen peaches at the store.

They really need to be frozen for it to work though.

Please don't try making this with thawed or fresh unfrozen peaches!

It will not work as you will end up with more of a smoothie consistency (still delicious, but not what we are going for here).

We enjoyed some as a post-dinner treat in the backyard last night, and it was so lovely 🙂

Need a Quick Foolproof Method For Peeling Peaches?

If you have a peach tree or access to reasonably priced peaches (hit up the farmers market), then chances are you are going to want NEED to know how to peel a peach.

Make it quick and easy with this simple tutorial on the best way to peel a peach, and get a big batch done in no time.

    How to Peel a Peach

How To Store Homemade Peach Ice Cream

I like to store my extra ice cream in these adorable ice cream tubs.

It will keep for a couple of weeks in the freezer, you may just need to let it rest on the bench for about 5 minutes before scooping to let it soften up a bit.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups frozen peaches
    • ½ cup full fat coconut cream
    • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Remove frozen peaches from the freezer and allow to thaw for 5 mins
      2 cups frozen peaches
    • Throw all ingredients into a food processor or high powered blender. Blend until an ice cream like consistency is reached (about 3-5 minutes depending on the power of your machine). Scrape down the sides with a spatula as needed
½ cup full fat coconut cream, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon maple syrup
    • Serve up and enjoy

    Notes

Add more maple syrup or honey depending on the level of sweetness you require. I found 1 tablespoon to be perfect for me, but this wasn't overly sweet.
This ice cream should last for a few weeks in the freezer if stored in an airtight container.
You made need to let the ice cream rest on the bench for about 5 minutes before scooping.

Is there any sort of substitute for the coconut cream? This looks delicious, but sometimes coconut is hard on my stomach.

Hi Megan, you could just use normal cream if you aren't wanting to keep it vegan.

Thank you for sharing this recipe, Donna! I made this ice cream a few days ago and it turned out perfect! My kids loved it so much. This time I added some ginger and I’m going to add strawberry next time.

I love fruit ice-creams, they are much healthier and they taste much better!

Thanks Betty 🙂 Yeah I actually prefer fruit ice cream to normal dairy and egg ice cream nowadays (something I never thought would happen 🙂 )

Oh it's not weird Natalie, I had that right up until a year or two ago - then had a pregnancy craving for fruity ice cream, which has stuck around 🙂

This looks amazing! I just made a "nice cream" out of bananas and found that it was way too banana-ey. Will need to try this instead 🙂

Yeah I love 'nice cream', but I tend to add other strong flavours in there to take away some of the banana flavour 🙂 Hope you give this one a go, it is just as easy!

We LOVE making ice cream, but peach is a flavor that we haven't tried yet! I like that I wouldn't need to use my ice cream maker for this one, so I could make two different types of ice cream at once, lol. 😉 Thanks for the great idea Donna! Pinned!

You are very welcome Justine 🙂 Yeah I had an ice cream maker for years and was way too impatient to put it in the freezer for the required time, so it never worked for me - hence my new obsession with no-churn ice creams 🙂

I love tree- ripened peaches!! And canned peaches, and peach cobbler, and peach ice cream (came over from Insta for your recipe!) you can do low- sugar jam if you're interested, without a water bath. I have the steps on my blog (www.leighannmarquiss.com). Search in the side bar for jam recipe. We used to make it with my mom growing up and now I do it with my own children. Lots of fun and makes great Christmas/teacher gifts. Can't wait to make this ice cream! Yum!

    Hello and welcome, I'm Donna!

I am so glad you are here!

Since I have a part-time job, 3 little kids, and a love of good food (as do you I assume), I have learned how to get the most out of the kitchen in the smallest amount of time.

Forget about hunting down weird ingredients and making trips to specialty shops.

We are going to make the most of what is available at the store and farmer's markets all whilst enjoying some delicious meals the whole family (hopefully...if you have fussy eaters I guarantee nothing) will enjoy.

Pop on that apron and let's get creative in the kitchen!
