Why not try out a batch of Everything Bagel Cheese Balls. 3 Ingredients and 5 minutes is all you need for this stunning appetizer, giving you plenty of time to socialize with your family and friends. Plus they can be made ahead of time, making it so easy to make in bulk and have on hand while entertaining.

    Everything Bagel Cheese Ball

This quick and easy appetizer has become a firm favorite in the whole food bellies house.

It comes together so easily, with simple, easy to find ingredients.

It can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for easy entertaining during the holidays or on weekends.

You can make one big everything bagel cheese ball to share, or as I have in this post, lots of mini cheese balls, which is the perfect option for easy entertaining, especially these days when people may be a bit more reluctant to share.

    You will need:

    • Goat's cheese
    • Cream cheese
    • Everything but the bagel seasoning

    That's it!

    Told you it was easy.

Ingredients for Everything Bagel Cheese Ball served in small bowls
Cream cheese, ricotta and everything bagel blend. All you need for this wonderful appetizer.

How To Make Mini Everything Bagel Cheese Balls

It really couldn't be more simple.

Simply mix both kinds of cheese together, until they are well combined.

TIP: you are going to want the cheeses to be at room temperature for this step, it makes mixing so much easier!

Ingredients for Everything Bagel Cheese Ball being mixed together in a medium glass bowl and a small spoon

Once the cheeses are combined, roll them into small balls with your hands and then roll them in the everything bagel blend.

TIP: If you have the time, you are going to want the cheese mixture to have been refrigerated for at least 30 minutes before rolling, this makes it so much easier to roll as the cheese won't stick to your hands as much.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.

    To make ahead of time

These cheese balls are the perfect candidate for meal prepping and having them ready to pull from the fridge when needed.

Perfect during the Holiday period, or when you have unexpected guests pop over!

    • Make the cheeseballs up to the step of rolling them into balls and then store them in an airtight container
    • When it comes time to serve, pull the rolled balls out of the fridge for about 30 minutes and then roll them in the everything bagel blend
    • You can roll them in everything bagel ahead of time, however, you risk the seeds and herbs becoming soggy, which isn't as appetizing.

Where Can I Find This Everything Bagel Blend?

If you are in the US, you are in luck.

Everything bagel can be found in the spice aisle of most supermarkets, in Trader Joe's and in bulk from Costco for most of the year.

If you are somewhere else (like Australia), you can travel to the US and bring back heaps...or you can buy some online from places like Amazon.

It can get a bit expensive though, so you might want to make your own (don't worry, it is super simple).

    Simply mix together:

    • 2 tbsp dried minced garlic
    • 2 tbsp dried minced onion
    • 1 ½ tbsp sesame seeds
    • 1 ½ tbsp black sesame seeds
    • 2 ½ tbsp poppy seeds
    • 1 tbsp flake salt more or less per personal taste
    • pepper to taste

And hey presto you have your own Everything Bagel blend!

How To Serve Everything Bagel Cheese Balls

These mini keto-friendly cheese balls are so pretty on a cheese platter, they really do elevate your entertaining.

    Serve with:

    • crackers of choice
    • on homemade bagel chips
    • chopped veggie sticks
    • as a spread on some fresh crusty bread
    • in a wrap with some crisp lettuce and fresh veggies
    • they are also delicious served Kiev-style stuffed into a chicken breast and then coated in breadcrumbs and cooked (my fav!)

    Hello and welcome, I'm Donna!

I am so glad you are here!

Since I have a part-time job, 3 little kids, and a love of good food (as do you I assume), I have learned how to get the most out of the kitchen in the smallest amount of time.

Forget about hunting down weird ingredients and making trips to specialty shops.

We are going to make the most of what is available at the store and farmer's markets all whilst enjoying some delicious meals the whole family (hopefully...if you have fussy eaters I guarantee nothing) will enjoy.

Pop on that apron and let's get creative in the kitchen!
